If you are a true creative, there is a fire that is constantly pushing you to create. This feeling is not a temporary impulse, it's a true drive to DO embedded in your DNA. As creatives develop, they understand what makes them happy, and living from that passion becomes an unwavering goal, even in the face of strife. It is important to understand this because the true creative will never be truly happy unless the thirst for creation is quenched consistently.

We all want to be happy. If one is lucky enough to KNOW what can bring happiness, then the pursuit of happiness becomes clear. The "Instagram Lifestyle" portrayed by excess, watches, cars, "plastic beauty", travel, and the flaunting of wealth can be attractive but ultimately a distraction for a true creative.


Thus, the understanding of the root of happiness for a creative can shape decisions and eliminate some of the angst of living in the current social climate.


Once a creative becomes an entrepreneur in pursuing their creative goal professionally, they worry not about the future value of their endeavor. A creative entrepreneur has no notion of weekends, vacations, or retirement... these are not goals but impositions developed by the traditional capitalist engine.

KNOWLEDGE SHOULD BE SHARED

Knowledge is the cornerstone of all economic products; the techniques to produce, the understanding of the market, and the way to plan. The problem is that once a creative entrepreneur has acquired a certain knowledge base, this knowledge becomes jealously guarded.

Why is this? Because creatives are not taught to share, we are taught to defend, critique, and not build together. We are not taught to rely on each other.


GROWTH IN AND WITH COMMUNITY

The creative community must become open-sourced, where real knowledge is transmitted openly, honestly, and without ego in mind; this is in the understanding that individually bettering the creative ethos will improve the collective. If an individual helps their collective, and that collective grows, it puts an entire city, state, or country on the map... The region has become notorious for a specific product and the collective benefits on many fronts.


Creative companies create a better overall ecosystem, and a cooler and more evolved community, the problem happens when the area is taken over by interests that want to "purchase" and not create that environment. A strong and unified creative economy will mitigate these outside efforts and provide representation in other matters that could benefit or hurt the creative community.

It might be a bold statement, but the Nomadx Foundation's firm belief is that healthily developing the creative economy can help humanity in its development and solve many of the issues that plague us.


  1. Creative Communities Foment Development. When creative communities are at the core of a society, it has been proven that other fields thrive. Technology, business, and trade grow faster when paired with creatively developed communities. 
  2. Creatives Think Differently. Mixing creative minds in a community helps solve many issues in other fields. Creatives inspire solutions that may not be in the linear perspective held by individuals in the engineering, medical, legal, environmental, or any other external field.
  3. The Product is the Star. When one enjoys a creative product, whether a film, a  song, or a painting, the subject matter is the product, not the artist or creative. Thus, sexual orientation, race, religion, or physical capacity become overshadowed by the creative product. This thinking can help bridge the divides currently woven into many societies.
