Unite

Unity in a community as complex as the creative one is not an easy task. Because of the lack of definitions, creatives are some of the most guarded individuals, keeping methods, pricing, and challenges very close to the chest. This is because of the lack of definitions and clear business structures; when one creative entrepreneur finds a good working model, this is rarely transmitted as the ecosystem is inherently not supportive.

When we can bring different creatives under one metaphorical roof and one value system, magic happens. Collaboration thrives, scenes are formed, jobs are created, and this bleeds into the traditional economy in the form of start-ups and new opportunities.

We create local-centric community Summits (Hybrid and Digital) that are fun but also illuminating. They showcase some of the top creative companies of a city, the nomadx values & definitions, and some of the world’s most inspiring creative minds. The events are inexpensive or free, and we invite the local creative ecosystem.

The events are built in hand with the local creative community and funded through donations, corporate sponsors, grants, and ticketing.

Nomadx Summits follow certain guidelines. They have creative products at heart, are organic/collaborative, and offer a space that is inclusive, accessible, and with sharing as a key value. To optimize, the Summits utilize spaces with some infrastructure for audiences, like nightclubs, bars, museums, and galleries that are within walking distance from each other.

Nomadx has the vision of a world where people unite around creative products, notwithstanding race, religion, sexual orientation, nationality, or economic disparity.

HYBRID AND DIGITAL EVENTS

We’ve built groundbreaking summits and events to unite creatives under a unified belief structure.

Now we’re looking at the future, sharing in person, but also utilizing the technology that exists today.

This 2023 the Nomadx Foundation is launching its digital events and making all in-person events completely hybrid (in-person + digital).

Over 22 hours of inspiring educational content will come from each Nomadx Summit from 2023 forward.

VALUES AT NOMADX EVENTS

SHARE

Sharing is a word that sometimes may be overlooked, embedded in our DNA. Form a very young age, we are told that sharing is good, but as the ego sets in, we tend to lose connection to this basic principle.

Because of the problems creatives face to thrive, the ego takes a powerful spot in the life of a creative. We defend our craft, our intellectual capital, and our creation with ego, and in many cases, we tend to keep the "secret sauce" to ourselves because we fear losing what we've accomplished.

At NomadX events, sharing is a key value, sharing the "secret sauce”: sharing the truth, the good, and the bad. At Nomadx, we know that by sharing fully, we are not just empowering individuals, but the entire ecosystem grows together.

LISTEN

Narrator: When people think you're dying, they really, really listen to you instead of just...

Marla Singer: - instead of just waiting for their turn to speak?

-Marla Singer, The Narrator. Fight Club

Listening, really listening, is a practice that is losing ground continuously. Paying attention to what someone has to say, holding back judgment, biases, and titles, and just listening.

At the Nomadx Foundation's events, we pride ourselves on selecting some of the best local, regional, national, and international creative talent and stories that have made a difference.

We try to instill the value of listening and taking from a creative's experience to one's endeavor, no matter if it is shared from the stage, the creative market, or in a conversation with a new acquaintance.

DETACH

Detachment is the most difficult value to uphold and teach because it goes against everything popular culture tells us. Creatives have a blessing and a curse; the curse is that we are not respected and don't understand ourselves.

The blessing, on the other hand, is that we actually know what makes us happy. For any creative, to be able to plan a worthy life 1, 5, or 10 years in advance while developing our craft would be a true gift. Fighting for that cause, for detachment from the clutter and the noise, and focusing on the craft that makes us happy.
